Social media activity: Government hires a private company for Rs 1.51 crore

Trivandrum: The government ordered the private company to take over the social media activities. The Karnataka-based company is being paid Rs 1.51 crore. The order was issued on the day the code of conduct came into force. The company was selected by the Evaluation Committee, which met on January 13, after examining the marks obtained for the presentation and the financial score. The government has also ordered a private company to pay Rs 26.52 lakh through CDT to publicize the government's achievements on YouTube and Instagram. For this 50 per cent of the amount has been allotted in advance.
